Villa Xochipilli is a private quiet villa set on three and a half acres of land bordering the Laguna del Tule. It opened its guest house in 2003 and since then it has added another guest house in keeping with the first one. Villa Xochipilli was designed for vacationers who are looking to relax in a tropical setting and for viewing and observing the fantastic wild life of the Laguna del Tule as well as the exotic and typically tropical gardens which extend throughout the villa. It is a BIRD WATCHER`S PARADISE!
There are five completely furnished bungalows available. Four of the bungalows are set up pretty much in the same way: a bedroom with two full size beds, a full bathroom with hot shower a living area with a day bed which is also a single bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining area. These four bungalows are in one building, two on the second floor and two on the bottom floor. The upstairs bungalows open up into balconies overlooking magnificent vistas of lush tropical gardens and the lagoon itself, and the bottom bungalows open up right into the colourful gardens bringing you one step closer to nature. |

The downstairs bungalows may be connected and turned into one large bungalow (whenever available) becoming a two bedroom, two bathroom, two sitting areas, double kitchens and dining areas. It is useful for larger groups or families. Although not necessary, the upstairs bungalows have A.C.in the bedroom, the downstairs bungalows are cooler and do not require air conditioner's. The four bungalows are named after some of the birds in the lagoon area: #1 is La Chachalaca, #2 La Garza Nocturna, #3 La Anhinga, #4 El Colibrì. The fifth bungalow called El Nido de Amor or Lover’s Nest is located away from the other bungalows, on a second floor close to the top of the palm trees where often birds nest. It has it own large private terrace running along the entire second floor, it also has its own private “palapa”. This bungalow has views of the entire villa, swimming pool, lagoon, gardens and even the “cul-de-sac” with its beautiful always running water stone water fountain. El Nido de Amor is a one bedroom bungalow with a king size bed, a bathroom, a kitchenette, dining area a bar area. It opens up right into its own terrace. It is larger and more luxurious than the other four. All five bungalows are fully and tastefully furnished. The swimming pool area is also landscaped with exotic palms, native trees and flowering gardens. The swimming pool is solar energy heated in the winter months providing perfect water temperature for a tropical climate. All throughout Villa Xochipilli you will find secluded places to relax, dream, nap and read in the hanging hammocks or reclining chairs; garden table and chairs for your morning book and coffee, or for your Margaritas. The nature-like preserve and the home-like atmosphere that Villa Xochipilli offers its guests, makes this your perfect get away vacation place and an ideal bird watchers Pacific Coast paradise. The owner-manager resides at her home in Villa Xochipilli “Casa Luna” and is very familiar and knowledgeable about the entire Costa Alegre area. She is happy to provide you with whatever information you would like to have about the area, things to do, places to go, and available excursions. Villa Xochipilli, has many other amenities: Internet Service Cable TV with English channels, parking on the grounds inside the complex and for a small charge you can request ahead of time to have anything that is available locally placed in your refrigerator before you arrive. etc., etc. In addition, for your food shopping there are many well stocked grocery stores nearby. Buses to downtown Melaque (five minutes away) or to Barra de Navidad (eight minutes away) are one and half blocks away from Villa Xochipilli. There are bicycle rental establishments as well as four wheel vehicles for rental in the neighbourhood. The beach Playa del Sol is within a short walking distance. Downtown Melaque is a 15 minute walk from Villa Xochipilli. Our neighbourhood also offers Yoga classes either group or private taught by a specialized licensed teacher. Within short walking distance of Villa Xochipilli there are very good restaurants, bars and taco stands where you can sample either local cooking or international cuisine or your favourite Mexican drinks. Please ask for other vacation activities and sports available near by and of interest to you: tennis, horse back riding, body surfing lessons, surfing lessons, snorkeling, etc, etc. etc… |
